Helping Students Develop Their IEPs

This technical assistance guide was developed by the National Dissemination Center for CHildren with Disabilities for parents and teachers who would like to help students with disabilities become more involved in developing their own Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).  Information on the IEP process is included and strategies are provided to support student participation in the development of their IEPs.  The guide includes information on how to enhance student self-determination and self-advocacy skills.  The guide is available on the center's website at http://nichcy.org/wp-content/uploads/docs/ta2.pdf.
